As a side project, I am searching for folk tales from other cultures and check what their differences from and similarities with German folk tales are. Suggestions are welcome. My primary criteria are:
- They should be from cultures from outside of Europe
- They should be written by people from that culture
Ideally, they should also be translated into English (or German) from that same culture.
I realize these criteria may be hard to fulfill, and I might be willing to make an exception. But I feel it is best if people tell the stories of their own culture in their own words.
