Deathly Hallows shattered sales records upon release, surpassing marks set by previous titles of the Harry Potter series. It holds the Guinness World Record for most novels sold within 24 hours of release, with 8.3 million sold in the US and 2.65 million in the UK. Generally well received by critics, the book won the 2008 Colorado Blue Spruce Book Award, and the American Library Association named it the "Best Book for Young Adults". A film adaptation of the novel was released in two parts: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 in November 2010 and Part 2 in July 2011.
Reading the series again after 25 years made me realise how much I didn't get the first time and how much was altered for the movies.
From all books I liked "The Order of the Phoenix" the least. Not sure why but I thought it quite chewy to read through. Not as gripping or thrilling as the others.
Nonetheless, I love the series. Guess, I will read them again in 20+years or so ;).

Il migliore dei libri proprio perché non segue la struttura dei precedenti. 5 stelle Qualche meno red flags qui.
Mi ero ripromessa di non aprire mai e poi mai questi libri. Troppo sopravvalutato e a che perché non mi piacciono le cose mainstream. Quest'estate, però, si è fatta strada in me la voglia di costatare con i miei stessi occhi tutte le red flag distribuite nella saga, tenendo conto che all'epoca non c'era tutta questa attenzione a certe tematiche. Alcune redflags: tutti i personaggi grassi sono cattivi o stupidissimi; i folletti della Gringott mi ricordano Shylock, sapete dove voglio andare a parare; il fatto che Silente non accettasse la nuova identità di Voldy, mi fa pensare che lei proprio non accetti che qualcuno possa identificarsi diversamente dalla norma. Sarà il mio essere atea, ma non capisco perché debbano festeggiare feste cristiane. Che poi ognuna di queste ha il suo corrispettivo …

Come dicevo all'inizio, quest'ultimo libro è strutturato diversamente e lo ho apprezzato di più. Per 6 lunghi anni, la storia girando intorno al castello ha retto bene. Un po' monotono però è stata furba.
I miei voti sono sulla storia in generale, se dovessi considerare anche tutto ciò che si è creato intorno sarebbe un 'Non Classificato'.
