This was a re-read. The first time I read this novel, I was a bit disappointed. I was looking for something more serious in tone, but instead got a novel that was very self-aware and trying to border on comedy.
However, I wanted to re-read the book now that I'm in the head space for it. This is a fairly standard transmigration story that doesn't take itself too seriously. So his goal is to rewrite the story by becoming an ally to the novel's protagonist.
There's a lot of setup in this first entry. The future love interest starts out as a boy, so this is definitely a slow burn. Overall, it was entertaining the second time around, but …
