Sally Strange reviewed The Tapestry of Fate by Shannon A. Chakraborty
Excellent sequel, leaves me thirsty for upcoming 3rd book
5.0 stars
The previous book left the pirate Amina Al-Sirafi waiting for another magical assignment while she tries to keep her family safe from those who would seek revenge against her for her previous pirate exploits. She has robbed and humiliated a lot of proud men, after all. So when the assignment comes down, she reluctantly leaves them behind to start a new adventure, seeking a magical spindle that's rumored to rewrite fate itself. I'll save the details because really all you need to know is that the adventures in this book are surprising, spectacular, occasionally mind-bending. The ending was emotionally devastating, but I have faith in the author's ability to turn things around in the next installment. This book came out this year, but a 3rd one is certain to come soon enough.
