I mostly read science and evidence-based non-fiction that fill in my understanding of the world.

I’m branching into fiction more and am hoping to find the niches that I enjoy. Hard science and adventure fiction like Jurassic Park and The Lost World are favorites. I think books that blend in realism and are somewhat believable might be my thing.

An essential read

Excellent book! My only criticism is the long and didactic bouts of Ian Malcolm’s ramblings.

They’re part of his character (and quite different from Jeff Goldblum’s portrayal in the film—if that’s what you’re expecting), but they’re so protracted that they tend to derail the book’s momentum.
