The marathon provides a goal, an incentive, and a focus, says Autumn Evans from Melbourne Beach, Florida. Without the marathon, there is less reason to get out and train hard. Yes, one should exercise for one's health, but good health often is taken for granted; thus, we don't always do what we know we should.

Ryunosuke Koike: The Practice of Not Thinking (EBook, 2021, Penguin UK)

The Practice of Not Thinking: A Review

The Practice of Not Thinking.

Setelah baca sampai habis, saya menemukan jawabannya.

Fredrik Backman: Anxious People (Hardcover, 2020, Atria Books)

anxious people tell about bunch of anxious in a scene

I personally don't like the pace of the story, how complex is it from the start, and how many characters were involved in this story. But, at the end of the day, it's a heartwarming and tearjerjking story. the twist is there to make you surprised, to make you emotional, and then feel so much relatable to them.

to put it simply, it's life. things changes, but we never know what change it. when it changes, then we feel silly for the reason it changed.

It was on that trip that I realized I couldn't live with her, because I haven't got the energy to keep experiencing things the whole time. I started longing for everyday life, all the boring stuff, but she hated being bored. So I came back from Australia a week before her, blaming the fact that I had to work.

I never thought that it was possible to have such reason to split, but I mean it's a good reason tho. Instead of one person winning and the other lossing to follow the other, it's much better if both of people in a relationship to win together.

'Because I can see that you don't want to let people get close to you. It makes you feel weak. But I don't think you're afraid of being hurt, I think you're afraid of hurting other people. You're a more emphathetic and moral person than you like to admit.'

'We can't change the world, and a lot of the time we can't even change people. No more than one bit at a time. So wedo what we can to help whenever we get the chance, sweetheart. We save those we can. We do our best. Then we try to find a way to convince ourselves that that will just have to ... be enough. So we can live with our failures without drowning.'
