People are still inexorably drawn toward its subject—The Line in Saudi Arabia is only the most recent example (and most visible failure)—despite decades of such visions being regarded as outdated. I actually first learned of the book from the recommended reading section of Marcus L. Rowland’s “Forgotten Futures” roleplaying game.

When I bought my copy it was rather difficult and expensive to find (architecture students were all over it), but I see that there has been a recent reprint:
